Are your chocolates organic?

We use 100% organic ingredients in our chocolates. We will be certified organic by the middle of 2018; we are licensed to list organic ingredients by the state of California.

We are strong believers in organic, non-GMO foods. We would never compromise purity for profit.

What are my options for shipping?

During the warmer months (March-August) we must ship all orders via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day shipping) or Priority Mail Express. Chocolate is very sensitive to damage from heat, our chocolate in particular because we refrain from using any additives or stabilizers. While we can't guarantee your chocolate will not melt in transit, we have taken these additional precautions to minimize all risks. If there is any damage to your order please contact us immediately so we can take care of you. When the weather becomes cool again we look forward to offering USPS First Class mail and the lowest, possible shipping rates!

How soon can I expect my order?:

Due to the increasing interest and the handmade nature of our chocolate it can take up to 4 business days for your order to ship. We try our best to ship orders the same day and are doing everything possible to make that possible 100% of the time. We ship via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 transit time) to ensure your chocolate arrives safely. Depending on the temperature of where you live, your order might not be shipped on Fridays to ensure it remains safe in transit. You will receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your order ships. If you would like to receive your order sooner, please contact us directly by phone and we will see what we can do, you can also select express shipping at checkout.

UPDATE: 12/18 While we are not ready for an official announcement, most orders now ship within 48 hours of purchase.

 Are your chocolates vegan?:

What is coconut MCT oil?:

The medium chain triglycerides from coconut which consists of lauric, capric and caprylic acid. Our MCT Oil comes only from coconuts, never from Palm, and no solvents are used in the extraction process.

Do any of your products contain Palm oil?:

Never. Palm oil is not a traditional food and is often harvested with unethical and unsustainable practices.

Are your chocolates fair-trade?:
Our chocolate comes from Ecuador where slave labor is not an issue. We have chosen to not source any chocolate from Africa because of this. Historically slaves were brought from Africa to South America, it became more cost effective for the chocolate to be grown in Africa. The chocolate grown in Africa is typically an inferior hybrid variety that is often harvested immaturely and over processed.
The chocolate we use is an heirloom variety that makes up less than 1% of the chocolate produced in the world. Farmers and farm workers are paid far above the fair-trade standard. Part of our mission is to create more demand for ethically sourced chocolate, sure it's more expensive, but it's worth every penny to fight slavery.
